One of a stack of low-budget board-type games. The basic story is here: Vintage Games and Playing Pieces. There’s a list of the games below.
This is an interesting TWO PLAYER game. One could actually recreate the board on a sheet of paper and use anything for markers.
For Mousetrap, one player puts 2 markers of the same color on circles marked Number 1, and the other player places two markers of another color on circles marked Number 2.
Opening man may move one of his markers to the center. Opponent may now move one of his markers to vacant space Number 1. They may not jump, but move one marker only to an adjacent open position, following the white center lines of the path.
The object of the game is to mousetrap your opponent so he cannot move. (Obviously), the player succeeding wins the game.
Trouble is, we couldn’t find the white center lines, but at least you don’t have to use the infamous spinner.
